North York

Frank Pizzeria – Your classic family owned neighbourhood spot. You’ll always see Frank and his family behind the counter, spinning the dough, or greeting their customers. Frank’s food is delicious and always served with a warm smile. This is a take-out joint to get all of the classic dishes and support a small family owned spot. 9/10

West End

Badiali – If you haven’t heard about this spot in the West End, you may have been living under a rock! They serve up New York style slices that are well worth the long lines. High quality ingredients matched with the perfect airy dough, cooked to perfection. It’s a good idea to visit right at opening (11:30am) if you don’t have the time to wait in line. Our favourite is a slice of burrata. 9/10

East End

Descendants – This Detroit style pizza joint does it right! The pies are baked in square, blue steel pans, with cheese that goes all the way to the edges, so it caramelizes into a crisp crust. Go for the adventurous options like Jerk chicken  8.5/10

Junction

Bar Sugo – An Italian- American classic found in Bloordale. We highly recommend dining in with a group – with so many great options, there is more to order, and more to share. The open kitchen with a brick pizza oven gives all of the warm and fuzzy vibes for the start to a big night out.  9/10

Trinity Bellwoods / Downtown

Danny’s Pizza Tavern – This retro inspired spot serves up hot, crisp, tavern style pizza, with Seinfeld playing on loop in the background. It somehow manages to be the perfect date night, late night, girls/guys night spot. It’s the cool neighborhood joint that feels accessible – like somewhere you can also take grandma to eat. 8.5/10
